SCRUMPTIOUS CHICKEN BREAD RECIPE YOU GOT TO TRY..

Who doesn't love trying delicious food recipes?
I don't cook daily but when i do i mix an match different recipes to make one of my own to add new and exciting flavors. With the Ramadan here, we prepare delicious food for iftar which we eat together after the sunset to complete our fasting. Throughout the Muslim world people during this season people organize iftar parties where they invite friends and family to open the fast together, where men and women prepare delicious dishes.
So like every Ramadan this year i have decided to try making unique dishes to add an exciting touch to our iftar menu.

CHEESY CHICKEN TIKKA BREAD

I felt like sharing this delicious recipe as it's really easy to make and very delicious to eat. You can either have it at tea time or serve it to your guests on your family parties. The filling for this bread can be made according to your taste. i made the bread using a red sauce but you can also make it using a creamy white sauce.


INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:

  • 2 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 1 AND 1/2 TSP YEAST
  • 1 AND 1/2 TSP SUGAR
  • 1 TSP SALT
  • 5-6 TBSP OIL
  • 1/4 CUP MILK
  • 4-5 TBSP WATER ( OR AS MUCH YOU REQUIRE)



To make the dough in a bowl add the dry ingredient like flour, yeast and sugar then make a circle and add milk and oil and mix together the whole mixture while gradually adding water to reach the required consistency. Your dough should look like this after mixing and kneading the mixture into a ball shape. The dough shouldn't be too watery nor too dry else it wont  come together like shown in the pic. 


After you have made a dough either cover it with a plastic sheet or put it in an air tight container and  keep it in a warm place for 1 hour minimum so the flour can rise. While this is going on you can now move on to the filling of the bread.

INGREDIENT FOR FILLING:

  • 2 TBSP COOKING OIL
  • 1 SMALL ONION (FINELY CHOPPED)
  • 1 TBSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE
  • 1/2 KG CHICKEN (BOILED AND SHREDDED)
  • 4 TBSP OF SHAN BBQ MASALA
  • 1TBSP TOMATO KETCHUP
  • 1 TBSP CORN FLOUR
  • 1 GREEN CAPSICUM ( FINELY CHOPPED)
  • 1 RED CAPSICUM ( FINELY CHOPPED)
  • 1 CUP MUSHROOMS
  • 1 CUP MOZZARELLA CHEESE
GARNISH:

  • 1 EGG
  • 1 TBSP MILK
  • 1 TSP BLACK CUMIN

In a hot pan add oil and onion and cook till the onions are caramelized nicely then add the ginger garlic paste and cook for a while then add the Shan bbq masla mixed in water and cook for 10 mins then add tomato ketchup and cook for a while  and then add chicken, capsicum and mushrooms to the sauce and set aside for later.

CHICKEN BREAD PREPARATION

Now take the dough out, by now it would have been risen nicely i would feel very light and airy. place this on the slab to  roll the dough into a long rectangle shape using a rolling pin. After rolling the dough into a rectangle shape place it into the an oiled pan in which you will bake the bread.
After that from both sides cut the bread into thin  equal strips leaving the center part, in the center part you will add the filling and fold it with the strips. After cutting equal strips on both sides now place the filling you made before into the center part of the rolled dough, once its placed now add the grated cheese on top.
To fold the bread take a strip from the left and place it in the center on top of the filling then take a strip from the right and place it in the way we braid pony tails. Once all the strips are folded with each other the bread should look like a french pony tail or a fish.
After the folding part is complete now take the egg and milk mix it together and  brush it over the whole bread and then add the black cumin.
Put the bread in a 180 degree preheat oven for 20-25 mins on the same temperature and after 25 mins check if the bread is cooked nicely through with a knife. Once done take it out of the oven and cut into slices and serve hot with your favorite sauce.
